Rescue Me ID: 15-11-08-00555Tyson (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected, Aggressive

Tyson is a 5yo Shar-Pei/Pug Mix. He was purchased by his previous owner at a pet store, but lived a feral life style during the first year of his life (hence, the neglect). He is a loving dog to his family; however, he really does not like strangers. He is not very trusting of people at first. He is dominant territorial. It is hard to determine, which dogs he will get along with and which ones he won't. He can be aggressive with strangers and intimidates them with his barking. It is just that he is very protective of his family. He has moved around a lot with his current owner. He loves walks and car rides. He also likes to cuddle. He has ... (Read More)been to doggie day care many times over the years, where has done very well. Tyson is up to date on his shots and is neutered. He is a very healthy dog that has the energy of a puppy. He is very loving and lovable to his owner. He deserves a great home with someone that has time to spend with him, as he has not spent a great deal of time alone since his current owner rescued him. Tyson is a character and I am sure he will bring the right home joy. The only reason that Tyson is being rehomed is because a family member has a skin condition that is being worsened by Tyson's dander. The doctors have urged that Tyson finds a new home. An experienced owner would be preferred. (Less)
