    Ricky and Lucy are fun, goofy, energetic and playful, nine-month-old, male and female black Pug/Chihuahua-mixes looking for a loving guardian together. Ricky is eight pounds and Lucy is more petite at five pounds. This brother and sister are very bonded, so they are looking for a loving family together. They are tall and skinny with long legs and adorable curly-q tails. This pair loves to play with each other and with squeaky Kong toys. They clean each other's eyes and ears.     Andy and Helen(tan ones in each corner of the picture) are enjoying themselves in their own little Mayberry, a slower paced world where everyone knows each other and days are spent lounging in the sun or perhaps picking apples with one of your pals. Rob and Laura arrived here first(the 2 side by side in the middle).Well, that is the dog world around here. Helen and Andy as well as Rob and Laura joined our little crew and fit right in. They all came from the same home in Chicago where they lived with about 30 other dogs. The dogs were a mix of chihuahua's, pugs, pekingese and maybe a few others.     Pug Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Pug is a small, stocky, short-haired dog with a wrinkled face and curled tail. Pugs are spirited and pleasant. Pugs are smart and sensitive and need gentle, consistent training. Pugs are wonderful with children and other pets. Pugs are very well-mannered with guests. This breed needs to be with people and likes to be the center of attention. Pugs do fine in an apartment. This breed needs to be sheltered from extreme temperatures.
