Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Prancer is looking for someone w/ a lot of love and patience. He is a pug mix about 15lbs. He was dropped off as a stray at a local emergency clinic. He was diagnosed having a cerebral defect. Since he was a stray we don't know if this was caused by genetics or trauma. This condition causes him to have problems controlling his movements when he walks. He does a lot of circling at times but not always. He must stay away from stairs. He does have vision problems, he sees better up close. However, this does not stop him from running and playing. He is very active and lovable! He is estimated 2 yrs old, neutered, utd on vaccines, and htw ... (Read More)negative. Prancer is crate trained and working on his house training. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-12-00051Libby (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chihuahua + Pug = Chug! Meet Libby (formal name is Liberty) our sweet chug who puts on her happy face whenever she can! Libby was rescued back in April 2016 from a backyard breeder with 15 other chugs. Two of them were pregnant so by the time pups were born, we had 27 scared to death Pug mixes! Libby had NEVER been a loved carefree dog. She had ever seen sunshine or felt grass. She lived in a little metal cage with a wire bottom and was used to breed over and over. She ate, slept, pooped and raised babies in a cut barrel in that wire prison. Then a miracle happened and we were able to rescue all of them. Due to the life they had lived, ... (Read More)most were very afraid of any other way of living, They were afraid of human touch and of all the new commotion going on around them. Libby is one of the ones that was the most scared and shy. She would huddle in the back corner of her crate and avoid making eye contact with everyone. A wonderful foster stepped up to take Libby into her home and give her the patience, love and time she needed to blossom. Libby has made a lot of progress. Maybe others wouldn't see the progress but if you had met Libby in April, your heart would just swell with emotion at how far she has come. Libby is still afraid of most touch but she actually gets excited now to see her foster mama. When her foster mama is making her dinner she will jump up on the back of her foster mama's legs and wag her tail!! She is doing better with her house training but still needs routine and guidance. She will use a piddle pad as well. Libby is now generally a happy girl and beginning to trust. She gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and the cat in her foster home. It pleases us to think that Libby is now ready to find her furever home. She will need someone who understands that Libby isn't going to be the dog that runs and jumps in your lap right away or possibly not even a couple of months from now. She will need continued patience, love and compassion to allow her to begin to trust in her own time as she has begun to trust her foster mama. But don't you think she deserves that? Isn't it time for Libby who isn't what some consider 'the perfect dog' to have someone to call her very own family? To live the rest of her life just being loved, the only thing she yearns for? We sure think it is!! Libby is 6 years old and is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped and is up to date with vaccinations. Libby will not have the typical adoption fee. Instead we would ask for a tax deductible donation to the rescue to help continue to save the unwanted, abused and mistreated. Due to her past and timidness, we will not adopt Libby into a home with children as their excitement and playfulness may be too much for Libby. If this pet interests you or you have any questions about this pet, please fill out an online application at http://udranch.com/adoption-application/ and we will be happy to answer any questions and arrange a visit! Rescue Me ID: 16-09-26-00171Snuggles (female)

Pug    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Snuggles is an approximately 2 year old female pug. Because she is unable to walk or urinate without help, her bladder was getting so full, she was dripping urine and blood on the floor. To fix this problem, her previous owners put her outside to live in the backyard. Living outside without medical care, she is, also, Heartworm, Lyme Disease, and Ehrlichiosis positive. She has bladder stones in addition to a severe bladder infection. She is unable to use her back legs due to a collapsed section of her spine (T6-T7) and requires her bladder to be manually expressed. Fortunately, Snuggles is a lover AND a fighter. She is incredibly ... (Read More)sweet and loving despite her previous life. She uses her front legs to get her wherever she wants to go and even tries getting into her foster mom's lap. Her foster mom expresses her bladder, which has stopped Snuggles from dripping urine. She is, currently, on antibiotics for her bladder infection. Along with her vet, we are working on a plan of action for her bladder stones and heartworm treatment. We will, also, need to figure out what her walking prognosis is. Most likely she will use a wheelchair to move about more efficiently. We suspect she will be like a teenager with a brand new drivers license! We will update Snuggles journey as she begins to feel better. If you would like to donate towards her medical care, she can use all of the angels she can get. if you are interested in adopting or in more information please visit our website. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-20-00177Brownie (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Brownie was very poorly treated before coming to Freedom Farm. Left outside on a chain with another dog, Brownie was afraid of humans and his face was scarred from the other dog attacking him. He was emaciated too and we discovered he had worn his front teeth down some from trying to gain his freedom by chewing his way off his chain. Now at Freedom Farm, he is thriving! He loves to be by our sides at all times, loves playing with other dogs, loves giving licks and is extremely playful. Brownie is on the smaller side, around 35 pounds so is a perfect size. He's also crate trained. He's just an over all great dog despite all he has been ... (Read More)through. It always amazes us how dogs find the will to forgive. Sadly however, we found out he is heart worm positive. Another blow for such a young dog. Luckily he's with us and will receive excellent vet care to get rid of the heart worms. Brownie is looking for his forever home so if you could find it in your heart to open your home to this special boy, you will be forever rewarded by his sweet disposition and loving nature. Our rescue will pay for his heart worm treatment. (Less)
