My name was Lulu. I was adopted by a nice family in Gettysburg PA, and they renamed me Cricket. I am a Boston/Pug mix with a very long body. OR I may be a pug/dachshund mix, who knows? Things have just not worked out here because there are other dogs and I like being 'an only child'. My mom is worried that someone may get hurt when fights break out, so the decision has been made to find me another home. I will stay in Gettysburg with Mom until another home is found. When no other dogs are around, I am laid back and quiet and loving --even with kids. Anyway, I'm approximately 2-3 years old and weigh about 25 lbs. I have been spayed and ... (Read More)I'm up to date on all vaccines. I am fully house-trained. I also have been micro-chipped. I am heartworm positive but I am currently on the slow kill treatment that just involves giving pills. I'm still a very happy girl with an infectious goofy smile. I love to give kisses and I would be the best dog as an only dog and would love to have you all to my self. I have a short attention span, I can go from sleepy to hyper in a split second. I love to play with toys and play tug-o-war. I love to go on walks. My legs might be short but I walk very quickly. I can't jump very high but I bounce on my front paws while my back paws are planted on the ground when I get excited. I'm still working on my manners and patience. Don't leave your plate near me, I'll probably eat everything if given the chance. Its probably best to feed me with a 'slow bowl' to limit how quickly I eat my food. Carley is a high energy jug. She is 21 months old and is very playful. She knows basic commands and is house broken. Carley should not be around large breed dogs (have not had her around small breed) or Cats that are not adjusted to dogs. She becomes very aggressive and excitable around large dogs. Carley is very good with children and babies. Her owner is 10 years old. Pug Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Pug is a small, stocky, short-haired dog with a wrinkled face and curled tail. Pugs are spirited and pleasant. Pugs are smart and sensitive and need gentle, consistent training. Pugs are wonderful with children and other pets. Pugs are very well-mannered with guests. This breed needs to be with people and likes to be the center of attention. Pugs do fine in an apartment. This breed needs to be sheltered from extreme temperatures.
