|Animal ID: 16-01-13-00841Happy Tails (male)|
Happy Tails is located at the Carroll County Humane Society, McKenzie, TN (West Tn) We have an application process for all adoptions. 731-352-9950 Happy Tail had a near tragic disaster that thankfully did not happen. Here is her story... A CCHS foster parent had a medical emergency on New Year's Day and had to take in a kitty. The on-call vet was having a terrible day and it was early eventing before the kitty could be seen. Upon arriving at the clinic, the foster parent learned from the on-call vet that a dog had been left in a carrier conviently placed next to the freezer at the back of the clinic sometime that day. The vet had no idea the dog was even out there and would NOT have known had a large animal emergency come in that afternoon and the vet heard barking coming from behind the clinic while working on the large animal in the large animal area. So...said foster parent ventured to the crate cringing because the dog in the crate was probably left by local animal control and had been freezing all freaking day. The crate was shaking like crazy and whatever inside was mighty happy to see someone. Said crate was opened and out popped this cute small dog who was smiling like crazy, wagging her tail like a demon, and looked so happy to be out. So, we named her Happy Tail because she was happy to see someone and her tail was really going. Happy is 22 pounds, and we are guessing as to her breeding of pug/beagle mix. We really don't know. What we do know is she is very friendly, LOVES to hoard things that she collects every day, takes her treasurers to her bed, and dares any dog to get near them. She is totally find with people messing with her stuff, but she guards her treasures from dog friends. She likes the company of other dogs and will play with them, but wants no part of a dog getting her things. Happy is about 2 years old, current on her vaccines, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Please ask about this lucky gem of a pooch today! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-13-00399Journey (female)|
Journey was saved from the streets just in time for her to have her 5 beautiful babies. She was known by local residents and they would feed her. One day animal control came along and were trying to catch Journey in a live crate. She is one smart cookie and never went near it. In fact one of the ladies that had been feeding her was able to get her to come into her place of work which is how she was saved. The lady was not able to keep her and asked for a rescue to help her. We stepped up to help her and it was a few days after that she gave birth to her 5 girls. They have all now been adopted and Journey is now looking for her special home. She is one special girl who loves her foster family very much. Once she knows you she is the most loving, loyal dog you will find. She is about 18 months old, fixed, current on all shots, micro chipped, heart worm negative and on monthly prevention. She is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix and around 35lbs. It did not take her long to trust her foster mum. Please consider giving this gentle soul a loving home and never to be on the streets again. She needs a home with a fenced yard. (Less)
