Chewy Chew is a fun loving six month old mix of cute and silly! He loves to play with other dogs and would do best in a home with a playmate. He is good on a leash and rides well in the car. His whimsical ways make home a joy to have around. He is in a home with cats however he will chase them if they run.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-12-09-00089Betsy (female)|
BETSY was turned into a Tennessee shelter emaciated, full of worms, fleas and had been bred too many times. Sadly, she is, also, HEARTWORM POSITIVE. In spite of all her issues, she is the spunkiest and liveliest little girl ever and behaves like a puppy in spite of being seven or eight years old. She is thoroughly enjoying her good food, nutritious goodies, and the abundance of attention. She loves everyone she meets, which includes other dogs, cats, babies, kids, and strangers. She loves to go for walks and prances like a little horse. She is working hard on housetraining, but if she doesn't make it outside in time, she goes on a puppy pad. Her foster home is getting her used to spending time in a crate, since she will have to do that during her recovery after heartworm treatments. She doesn't much care for it but hopefully by that time she will have gotten used to it. Her foster mom is working very hard to get her healthy for her heartworm treatment to begin mid-January. If all goes as planned, she should be ready for adoption mid March. People fall in love with her wherever she goes because of her joyful personality. |Rescue Me ID: 16-08-19-00369Cary (male)|
Cary is a sweet very trainable dog we adopted at 4 months old. Quickly we realized he was nervous and became aggressive with rawhides and stuffed toys (something we hadn't experienced with other dogs). We went thru obedience school with him and successfully trained him out of this behavior. He is still naturally nervous, though, and once our baby learned to walk he grew too nervous and became aggressive toward her (not nipping: he didn't attack her but would have if we hadn't known what to look for or how to handle him). We have kept them apart for two years with the help of a local kennel but cannot afford to continue, and our three-year-old is simply too young and small to safely train with him. He loves routines and exercise and the dog friends at his kennel! He also loves do to tricks ( it calms him and helps him listen), and he loves his crate! Sweet and eager to learn! Works for food (in terms of training.) (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-13-00399Journey (female)|
Journey was saved from the streets just in time for her to have her 5 beautiful babies. She was known by local residents and they would feed her. One day animal control came along and were trying to catch Journey in a live crate. She is one smart cookie and never went near it. In fact one of the ladies that had been feeding her was able to get her to come into her place of work which is how she was saved. The lady was not able to keep her and asked for a rescue to help her. We stepped up to help her and it was a few days after that she gave birth to her 5 girls. They have all now been adopted and Journey is now looking for her special home. She is one special girl who loves her foster family very much. Once she knows you she is the most loving, loyal dog you will find. She is about 18 months old, fixed, current on all shots, micro chipped, heart worm negative and on monthly prevention. She is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix and around 35lbs. It did not take her long to trust her foster mum. Please consider giving this gentle soul a loving home and never to be on the streets again. She needs a home with a fenced yard. (Less)
