Rescue Me ID: 16-07-18-00108Bella (female)

Pug    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bella is a 9 year old pug who was turned in to the rescue due to her medical needs. She has a degenerative disc disease and it leaves her with back-end weakness, which causes her to have limited control with urinating especially. She is able to get around and likes to be in the middle of the action but can lose her strength/footing in her back end. She has diapers that she can wear and a cart for when she gets a little tired. Bella will be heading to our vet to get a good exam and see what we can do to help with her needs. She is super sweet and friendly and loves to snuggle on the sofa and watch TV! We will update you with more info ... (Read More)on Bella as we get to know her better and after we talk to her vet! Rescue Me ID: 16-05-23-00249Minnie Pearl Precious (female)

Pug    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Minnie Pearl and Precious are new to rescue and a bonded pair. Minnie is the smaller of the 2 with the lighter face and Precious had the darker markings on her face. Minnie is approx 10 and Precious is approx 8. These ladies are new to rescue, they have been apayed, had dentals, and Minnie has a tumor removed we have sent out for testing. They get along great with other dogs but really stick together and do everything the other does. They came from not very good lives and most likely from a puppy mill, so they still need some work on their housetraining. We will update as we get to know them better.

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-13-00297Wade (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Wade is a pug mix who came to the rescue through a shelter. He was found stray and probably was stray for quite some time. After evaluating his eyes, teeth, etc, our veterinarian estimates that he is 10 years old. When he came into the shelter he had a severe flea infectation. The fleas were eliminated but he had significant fur loss as a result. He also needed a dental to fix some teeth and clean them up. After a few weeks of medications, his hair has returned and he has almost completed all of his medical treatments! He is heartworm negative, current on vaccines, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, microchipped and will ... (Read More)soon be ready for his forever family! Wade was stray for a long time and looks like he was never very well socialized. He has had to learn to accept affection appropriately and how to be a house pet. He started out fearful of attention and care. At this point, he lets his foster mom pick him up, carry him around, pet him, give him kisses, trim his nails, etc! When he does find that perfect home, they are going to need to be patient with him as it can take a little while for him to settle in and trust his new family. He is fine with cats and is okay with other small dogs. He doesn't want to snuggle or play with them but if the dog is mellow, he is fine with them. He does not like very active or playful dogs. He is mostly housetrained as long as he is kept on his schedule and he eats a regular diet. He loves a good nap and has several beds that he has made all his own and can almost always be found snuggled in either sleeping or observing what is going on around him. The ideal home for Wade right now would be a home either no other pets, or very mellow pets and if there are children, they need to be old enough to understand the right way to pick up and hold Wade. He needs a family who is willing to give him the time it takes to adjust to a new environment. He really is a sweetheart and will make any family very happy! Rescue Me ID: 15-12-02-00208Seraphina (female)

Pug    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello! My name is Seraphina and I am about 9 years old, but you would never know that with my energy level and love for going on adventures. You will notice I may bump into doors and walls because I am partially blind. I have learned to walk very well on a leash and only bump into a few doors. I am crate trained but occasionally will have an accident indoors if I am not taken outside often because my bladder is small (just like me!). I love giving kisses and even rough housing a little bit. I have lots of love and energy left in me to give to my new owners. I would love to meet my new persons who will help make my elderly life active and ... (Read More)exciting! If you are interested in adopting please visit our website and fill out an application.
