Pug    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Lily! She is a 10 year old pug that was recently surrendered to Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue. She had actually been adopted out by MAPR to her former owner many years ago. She is coming back into the rescue because her former owner felt that she did not have the time/resources to give Lily the life she deserves. Lily is getting settled in at her foster home and is doing pretty well! She needs to be seen by the vet still to do her vaccines, heartworm test, general exam and to treat her ears, which are in bad shape. Her former owners indicate that she does have a long history of ear issues. We will get her all fixed up and have her available ... (Read More)for adoption soon. How could you resist this adorable gal?? She is fostered in Richmond, VA. If you are interested in adoption please visit our website and fill out an application. (Less)

Pug Mix    Age: Puppy

Liam is an 1 year old Shih Tzu/Pug mix available for adoption. He stands fairly tall for the breed combination and weighs about 20 pounds. He is everything one could want from a young pup! He is cute as a button with a soulful face and playful ways. He loves toys and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. He is a very loving and faithful boy who will return your love 1000 times over. Liam is very grateful for his new life in foster care. He loves to snuggle and is a great little watchdog, always curious about his surroundings. He is a quick learner and will make some lucky owner a marvelous companion for many years to come. Liam is mostly ... (Read More)house trained and gets along well with other dogs. He is black with white feet and although his coat is short now it will grow out to be long and beautiful with minimal shedding. Liam is up to date on all his shots and neutered. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-13-00297Wade (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Most Cats

Wade is new to rescue, he was pulled from a shelter in VA just in time to start the new year in a foster home. Wade is approx 5 yrs old and has a lot of fur loss from infections and flea dermatitis. He is working on his socialization skills currently. He is a little skiddish around new people, he also does not do well in a crate. He is a great pup outside on a leash, in the car, or anywhere else. He will be on medical hold while we get his skin cleared up and get him ready to have a dental to take care of a few chipped teeth. If you are interested in adopting please visit our website to fill out an application.

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-27-00251Onyx (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Senior

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Nicholas (puggle) and Onyx (pug) are a pair of 8 and 10 year old brothers who have lived together their entire lives! We intended to keep them together so they must be adopted as a pair. They have always lived outdoors prior to being with the rescue and although it was a little bit of an adjustment, they are LOVING inside living! They like to be snuggled into things at night and in fact Nicholas can frequently be found dragging a blanket into a laundry basket and taking a nap in there! They have both been to the vet and had all of their vaccines updated. They are heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives. Both dogs have been ... (Read More)microchipped and neutered and both had extensive dental work. Nicholas lost almost all of his teeth, which is partly to blame for his tongue sticking out all the time but it just adds to his charm! Both dogs have luxating patellas but they are not candidates for surgical repairs on them so we just do joint supplements to keep their joints healthy. It does not impact their mobility at all. Personality-wise, they are very sweet dogs! They are friendly with all people that they meet, get along well with other dogs and ignore cats. They sleep in the same room at night with dog beds and do just fine with that. They have great appetites and eat a regular dry dog food. Originally we had Nicholas on a soft food after the dental but he prefers the dry food. Nicholas is great on a leash and really enjoys a leash walk, while Onyx is more of a sedentary fellow and he does well on a leash but that isn't his activity of choice! Nicholas and Onyx both enjoys exploring the backyard off leash. Nicholas is part beagle though so you have to make sure you don't have any weak spots in your fence. They do NOT dig in the yard but if there is a gap he can fit through, he will head out exploring. His foster mom just stays in the yard to supervise. They are a very nice pair of dogs who have been waiting in rescue for over 5 months for the right family. Please consider them as the pair for your home! Their combined adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Nicholas and Onyx please visit our website to get more information and fill out an application. (Less)
