Rescue Me ID: 15-02-27-00378Bobbie (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Rescue dog needs a forever home. This sweet boy is Bobby. He is a neutered shitzu mix male, that will be two years old in November. His first owner got him as a Christmas puppy in 2013. She went to college and left him with mom, who kept him kennel all the time. He is very healthy. He does best with non grain dog food. I got to keep him, because I promised I would look for a forever home for him. We already have four dogs, so I am looking for a wonderful home for Bobbie. Bobby gets along well with cats and dogs. he is not an alpha dog. He will bark, but doesn't bite. He loves to be with you, on your lap or the top of your chair to ... (Read More)sleep. He loves truck rides, RVing, walks, riding in the shopping basket at Home Depot, and meal time. Take him out before bed time and he will sleep all night in his kennel. He is a talker. He will make mumbling sounds like he is trying say words. He will make quiet barks to get your attention. He loves squeaky toys. He does not tear them up and pull the stuffing out like our dachshunds. He will bring them to you to have you throw so he can retrieve. He has beautiful, silky cream hair and does not shed. Take him out and he does his business quickly. His teeth are in great shape. He is still young and is quite active and may jump on you and needs indoor potty training reinforced. If kenneled and you leave, he will bark loudly, yet will stop after a short while. He is not an apartment dog. Being left alone gives him anxiety. He kennels well at night and let's you know if he needs to go out potty by mumbling. As a Schitzu, he has skin sensitivities so I use puppy shampoo and feed him non grain dog food. He needs bushed a couple of times a week, bathed monthly, and trimmed once a month, especially around his eyes. He gets matted easily if not brushed. You need to keep the hair out of his ears or he needs ear drops to keep them clear of redness. His nails grow quickly and you have to trim them often. He is a very sweet, devoted dog that will be your best buddy. He is quiet and calm as long as he is with you. He has bursts of puppy energy with a fast run around the living room. He needs someone that can spend time with him. I am charging $300. That will cover his vet bill for neutering, fixing a hernia and checkups. He is up to date on shots and is chipped. (Less)
