|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-13-00542Fluffo (female)|
Fluffo is a very quiet senior; best guess is about 13 years old. I got her as a rescue with one eye shrunken and blind. She has since gone blind in the other eye and is almost totally deaf. She has arthritis due to old injury before I got her and she now has kidney disease. She does not appear to be in any pain, but cannot jump or climb at all. She mostly uses her potty pad, but sometimes just goes where she is. She eats well and sleeps a lot. She will snuggle with you for a while if you lift her up onto couch or bed, she cannot get up or down on her own. She wags her tail happily at meal and treat times and tolerates bathing and grooming well. I am a senior and due to medical conditions and medications, have very poor balance and bad back. I can barely lift her 11 pounds and have dropped her once, luckily I was bent way over and it was onto soft snow. She likes to go outside on a leash, but I am no longer able to take her out. She has never chewed anything or scratched furniture. We call her 'our fuzzy goldfish' that's about as much work as she is. I am hoping that someone with the money to get more health check up--I spent $300+ for the tests to find out about the kidney disease, she responded to antibiotics by lessening her urinating all over, but I cannot afford to get further testing to see if there is actually something to cure. She needs a good dental cleaning again. (Less)
