Rescue Me ID: 17-10-08-00108Blossom (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Blossom''s engaging and sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated (it's evident in her smile with the cutest snaggletooth every). She is such a wonderful being...we think she represents the best qualities of the Pug and Boston Terrier breeds. Blossom seems to have left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up her early life. At about 2.5 - 3 years old and 25 lbs..(the perfect size for long hikes in the Colorado mountains), Blossom would love nothing more than to spend a day of fun followed by crashing on the couch for belly rubs and snuggles. Blossom is a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the ... (Read More)happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would love to see Blossom in a home that includes her in family time and activities...she's very social and would thrive in a family that truly loves her and considers her a very important family member. Blossom would be a wonderful companion for active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with an adorable Pug/Boston Terrier. Blossom is a happy girl who represents the joyful attitude of both the Pug and Boston breeds. While she might be initially shy or frightened (rehoming is often a bit scary), some kind words and soft touches and Blossom falls deeply in love. Blossom doesn't require another dog to be happy...she loves her people dearly and if they're attentive and loving, this sweet and loyal girl will be fulfilled and very happy. If a gentle dog is already part of a family, that's great with Blossom as well. She enjoys her time spent in the company of a canine (as well as feline) best friend. Blossom will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure....it can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. A car ride is also always fun..especially if it leads to a fun, dog-loving spot. Blossom would also be very happy to spend the afternoon just being together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to her sweet temperament and very loving and loyal ways. Blossom's New Mexico rescuer had the following to say about sweet Blossom: Miss Blossom is a one of a kind special girl. She is so full of bouncy energy and happy as can be. Blossom's challenge (although she doesn't think so) is that she clicks her jaw together. Vets have confirmed that there is no obvious reason for this and she even does it while under anesthesia. It isn't a health problem and doesn't cause any harm... and it surely doesn't slow her down or change her joy and zest for life. Blossom will be arriving on transport in Denver in late October. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. Rescue Me ID: 17-09-17-00079Rocky (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Rocky is a 5-7 year old, male, Pug mix. Rocky's past has been quite an unfortunate one. He developed cataracts at a young age and has been completely blind ever since. He ended up at a shelter in CA earlier this summer. Rocky thought he hit the jackpot when he got adopted, but was devastated when he was returned a month later. It was then Rocky's luck began to change. He was spotted by a nice woman who wanted to help him. So she did. She pulled him from the shelter and sent him to BBCR. Rocky has been in foster care in Mead, CO. He got a nice bath, a warm bed, a couple of doggie and kitty friends, and now he's officially on the ... (Read More)market for his forever home. Rocky is crate trained and house trained. He would like a lap to cuddle on and a clutter-free home that he can 'memorize' the layout of. If you have space in your heart for this boy, please apply on our website. Adoption fee is $250. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-26-00405Rolo (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Resting regally on her red plaid blanket, recent puppy mama Rolo is enjoying a well-earned respite. The 13-pound tan and black sweetie is only now learning how safety feels and remains fearful of loud noises and meeting new people. But once she grows comfortable in their presence, she loves to sit in their laps and to cuddle. Highly treat motivated, Rolo responds to her name, knows her 'sit' and 'down' commands, and is at work on her leash training skills. One of her cuter quirks is taking her treats to bed with her, while the other is sleeping in the clothesbasket! An alert barker who sounds the alarm whenever she hears someone at the door, ... (Read More)she's housetrained during the day and uses a pee pad at night (this should normalize once her 'mothering' is done). Not fond of either her crate or rides in the car, she must be introduced slowly to adults, children and other dogs, and now needs the loving guidance and patience of an adoptive home to complete her education in exchange for a lifetime of Rolo cuddles.
