Rescue Me ID: 15-02-19-00358Cooper aka Slick (male)

Pug    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cooper is a cool man with a sad story. He is waiting for a special someone to give it a happier ending. He is about 7 years old. This wonderful pug has been in and out of rescue, no fault of his own. Originally he was adopted by his foster mom (love at first sight!) after a life of abuse. He has scars on his back that tell about that life, now over. The scars are on his back, since he did not fight back at whatever was harming him (human and/or animal). His lovely, slick coat and perfect face are proof that he has endured, his tail wags and he follows you everywhere once he knows you are a safe person. Cooper came back into rescue after ... (Read More)his foster-turned-adopter passed away suddenly this month. He took a longer amount of time than normal to trust and be his lovey self, but now he is such a charmer. He is doing well but will need a belly band to reinforce his good behavior. Cooper got his nickname of 'Slick' by his foster mom. He is very smart and finds a way to be top dog, first in line for food, opens doors, boxes and finds treasures. Adopters should know he is super smart, and be willing to be a fair leader to him. He responds well to even the smallest of sound corrections- no touch needed .He occasionally will nip at other dogs when it's time for attention, out of fear. As Cooper looses weight, we will update his pictures. He will need to get 1/4 cup of food two times a day, for life. He will only get more handsome as he achieves his goal weight of 21 pounds. He loves watermelon and fruit for snacks! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-19-00283Haddie Grace (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I see you looking at me! Was it my Hollywood smile'| my petite frame? Before we go any further, let me introduce myself'| My name is Haddie-Grace Chugg and I am an old soul dwelling in the body of a spring'| puppy! I love long days lounging on the sofa, watching fashion TV. Indoor living is a new lifestyle for me and truth be told, I LOVE IT!! Who would have thought that I, Haddie-Grace Chugg, would enjoy living the lap dog life? Haddie-Grace is approximately one year old, Chihuahua / Pug mix brought into rescue from northwest Georgia. She is new to indoor living but is doing very well with it. She is crate trained, in the process of ... (Read More)house-training and is one of the most relaxed pups you will ever meet. Haddie-Grace can be a bit timid at first and deals best with women, but will warm up quickly to a male who shows her positive, loving attention. She is ok with other dogs, but would do best with siblings who are more chill and relaxed. Haddie-Grace enjoys playing, but on her terms. When one of her hyper foster sister's becomes too much, she will yell at them to move on! She has not had an opportunity to be around cats, but as long as they stay out of her space, it should be fine. Haddie-Grace is trained for walking on a harness and leash and loves to run in a fenced in backyard. She has not shown any tendency toward chewing or other destructive behaviors. Haddie-Grace is truly, the epitome of a LAP DOG!!! (Less)
