|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-15-00134Clair (female)|
Three year-old, adorable Puggle- Pug/Beagle mix. Spayed, loving, smart. Not good with children apparently. We have had her since a pup and my son has nowhere to keep her. I cannot keep her either. Very playful, but not a pest. Beautiful markings white/brown, black. Loves to play and snuggle. Need to adopt her out now as we are moving.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-18-00117Jake (male)|
Jake is a head- tilting pug, 10 year old pug, with special needs but special love. Used and neglected as a breeding puppy mill dog, he's now safe and spoiled in a loving foster home. Jake loves life, and despite limited vision, explores everything with gusto. Jake has dry eye and issues that are genetic. He also has one eye smaller than the other and has a funny gait, but none of that bugs him. He would be perfect as a couch potato for someone who likes to watch a lot of TV or spend time on the computer. He is super snuggly and prefers to be next to someone or some dog all of the time, but is fine independently if he is crated. He is very warm and thankful for companionship. He needs to be fed alone so that he feels safe, and does not like to be walked on by big dogs (who does?). He is crate trained and his foster mom is taking him outside often to re-remember good potty habits. He loves going outside and has a halo that allows him to explore with some safety- even on the leash. He can sense contrast and texture in his vision and maps his environment well. He wears a belly band when exploring the house but if watched and reminded, will not mark. (Less)

Boston is a 7 year old black, male pug who came in to rescue as a surrender from a breeder. He is heartworm negative...which is GREAT news! Boston does need this teeth cleaned/repaired, has luxating patellas in both back legs, separation anxiety, low vision, isn't currently housebroken and he cannot do stairs. We are going to get started at the work of taking care of ALL of those issues and when he is in better shape, he will be available for adoption. |Rescue Me ID: 16-03-24-00117Princess (female)|
Meet Princess the little diva! Princess is believed to be 1-2 yrs old - She needs an experienced family. Princess is a Chihuahua/pug mix, and 13 lbs. of pure alpha energizer bunny. Princess was adopted from a high kill shelter in Kentucky where she had been returned twice before. Unfortunately for her rescuers the shelter never told the family about Princess being alpha. Princess is super smart and a sweetheart and becomes very attached to the person she chooses. She needs a STRONG PACK LEADER TO TEACH HER AND GUIDE HER. The previous owner hired a trainer when she was adopted last November and this did wonders with her anxiety and fear. She stayed with the trainer for weeks and did great there-no resource guarding, no biting, she even lived with an infant, multiple dogs, and a cat. When she came back home she did not do as well, and niped a few of her family members. Princess is a resource guarder and especially so with food. Please NOTE in her foster home we have been feeding her in her crate- the separation while feeding her has not created any issues. She feels secure and safe in her crate and that is her home, and no one bothers her when she eats in it. PRINCESS NEEDS A STRONG LEADER AND A GOOD SCHEDULE. SHE IS SMART AND KNOWS COMMANDS, BUT NEEDS SOMEONE WILLING TO WORK WITH HER FEARS AND QUIRKS. PRINCESS IS ALSO VERY HIGH ENERGY AND NEEDS SOMEONE ABLE TO HELP HER EXPEND HER ENERGY AS WELL! If you are interested in adopting please visit our website and fill out an application. (Less)
