Rescue Me ID: 16-01-23-00546Zadie (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed

Zadie the Puggle came from Colorado in February of 2015. Approximately 8 years old, she had a 'rep' for being unsocialized and dog reactive. Due to too much time in a crate, her rear end muscles were severely atrophied and her kneecaps are permanently luxated (but are not painful). She was underweight and sad and confused. All Zadie needed was a chance to bloom in a patient loving environment. Today, Zadie has built up her muscles, and is content to nap on the porch with the other dogs, help protect the property, join in the squirrel patrol, and help 'Mom' or 'Dad' with any and all chores. She adores children, but would do best with children ... (Read More)older than 5. She still has some separation anxiety, so being with other dogs helps. From all out panic attacks in her crate in February to happily hopping into her crate for meals and 'night-nights' now, she has come a LONG way! Zadie's perfect life would be with someone who is home most of the time, has a secure yard for her to play and nap in, and a mellow companion dog or two for her to hang out with. Zadie requires a solid routine and consistent love and she will reward you with her special devotion and kooky/adorable friendship. Bonus - she grins when she is trying to be extra charming! She can melt any heart! Adoption Fee $150. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-18-00768Miley and Macy (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Miley & Macie Miley and Macie are 8 and 9 year old puggle sisters who have been very loved and adored all their lives. Their first family was forced to give them up after their daughter became very allergic to them - it was heartbreaking for Miley, Macie, and their first family. These two ladies are a bonded pair and will need to be adopted together. They would love to be adopted by a family who will be able to help them heal their broken hearts and give them the individual attention and love they deserve. Miley and Macie are not only adorable, but are angels. Their foster mom says they are fantastic members of the family. These girls ... (Read More)are housetrained and know how to use the doggy door. Miley loves to go for car rides, new social situations, and walks - and loves to compete with her sister Macie for loves from people. Macie is the deep thinker, worrier, and mothering one. She has beautiful, big expressive eyes. When you put Macie on the bed she'll unmake it and rearrange all the pillows and make a nest she's quite proud of - it's one of the few times she'll play. When you pet Macie she'll run away out of arms reach and then briefly run back for another fast pet. She's totally into eye contact and has a really good heart. These girls are quiet, calm, and low maintenance. Until feeding time that is. Like all puggles, these girls LOOOVE to eat (but really, don't we all?!). They won't climb on the furniture to beg, unless you have popcorn which is their personal favorite. The adoption fee for Miley and Macie is $250. If you think your family is missing Miley and Macie please complete the adoption application on PugPals.org http://pugpals.org/forms/adoption-application/ (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-18-00740Bacchus (male)

Pug    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Meet Bacchus Bacchus is a sweet, lovable senior pug who came to Pug Pals after his owner surrendered him because he was old. He's approximately 12-14 years old and still has a lot of love left to share. He loves to be close to his people and when he can't be next to you he prefers to be within eyesight. He enjoys car rides and even loves visiting the vet. When he visits the vet he expects everyone to pet him. Bacchus also LOVES tummy rubs. In fact, he'd love nothing more than to have his tummy rubbed all day long that would be just fine with him. Bacchus and his foster mom have a morning routine where she rubs his tummy for 10-15 minutes and ... (Read More)he plays with her by soft-mouthing her hand. Don't worry, this mellow dude has never bitten anyone and doesn't even bark. When he first came to Pug Pals he was averse to being held and touched, but with some love and kindness he's come around. He still prefers not to be held too often, but enjoys snuggling up next to his people until it's time to sleep. Then he needs his space at the foot of the bed. He also does fine with other dogs, as long as they respect his need for space. This cute guy is housebroken, but sometimes needs reminding when the weather is bad that he has to do his business outside. When he goes outside he likes to wander around and 'patrol the yard' for about 10-15 minutes. Bacchus had a cancerous mass removed from his leg after coming to Pug Pals. He is completely deaf and suffers from arthritis and thyroid issues; both are managed by medication. Because of his arthritis he needs to be lifted on and off furniture. He also has some vision problem in one eye from an injury when he was young - but it doesn't slow him down. Bacchus would love nothing more than a family who can love him and let him love them. His adoption fee is $100. If you would like to adopt him please complete the adoption application on PugPals.org http://pugpals.org/forms/adoption-application/ (Less)
