Rescue Me ID: 17-12-06-00446Frankie and Jackie (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

2017 hasn't been a great year for brothers Jackie and Frankie. After losing both of their human parents they were dumped in a high kill shelter. They spent several days there waiting to see if someone would adopt them as a pair because they're brothers ...and they only had each other now. Several days later they were transferred to rescue. When they arrived they were terrified...so much so that Jackie fled transport and stayed on the run for 2 weeks. Finally, after an exhaustive search and what seemed like the world watching them, we were able to trap him on someone's porch. It ended a 10 day long stretch of no sightings at all. Frankie ... (Read More)and Jackie are now safe in a foster home. They've decompressed and fallen into the routine of the other pups. They're part of a family but they so deserve their very own family. 2017 may not have started off well...but we're hoping it will end well for them in a new home. What you need to know about the boys: We think they are 8-9 years old. They have lived with seniors and would probably really enjoy the company of seniors (or established adults). They do not seem to mind the company of a cat - ignoring them, actually. They get along with other dogs. They have been brothers for years and we want them to be adopted together. Jackie is a pug mix - we're not sure with what breed but he has long legs like a super model. Frankie is probably a poodle/shih tzu. He will require occasional grooming. They are housebroken and well behaved. Both boys are very friendly. They do enjoy sleeping in bed with their person. And do know....they LOVE skittles. Now we have not been known to feed candy to pups at the rescue ...but we were told that they love them and we were able to trap Jackie when he was on the run with skittles! We would love for the boys to have a fenced yard for safety reasons with Jackie. Both boys are vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested, microchipped, neutered and on preventatives for flea/tick/heartworm. Their adoption fee is $600. Pug Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

In today's text message lingo, 'LOLA' means 'Lots Of Love and Affection' and this is our girl Lola. She is a 7-year-old chihuahua/pug mix weighing approx. 11.5 pounds. This doll hasn't met an adult she doesn't like but she does not do well with small children so kids over 10 would be best. Lola lost her home after her dad got married and the new wife insisted she been given up to rescue. This little lady is super friendly and outgoing and meets everyone with her cute little under-bite and tail wagging. Lola has just enough bounce in her to make her a great fit for an active family as well as enough lap dog to be comfy sitting by your side ... (Read More)all day. She is very well behaved. House trained and crate trained although there hasn't been a reason to crate her. She does have a crate and a bed that will follow her into her forever home to help with her transition. Lola is a Velcro dog and loves to be with her human. If you're sitting, she'd like to sit with you. If you're up and about, she wants to follow. Lola is in super health and is scheduled for a dental. Anyone would be very lucky to have this girl in their life. Don't you need a little Lola in yours? Lola's adoption fee is $350. She will have her dental, she is current on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped, tested heart worm negative and is current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. This precious lady a lot of life and love to give. If you think that she would fit into your life and lap, please contact us at'|http://celebratingpugs.com/ (Less)
