Pug    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Pugsley's Info... I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs. Pugsley's Story... Miss Pugsley is a sweet pug mix, 9 years old, 33 lbs, house trained, healthy, active, and up to date on all her shots. She's a big girl with a big personality, and is definitely the top dog in the house. Although she gets along well with her foster brothers and sisters, she would be well suited as an only dog and in a home without small children. We do not know her temperament toward cats. She loves to be cuddled up under her blanket on the sofa, and adores lounging in the yard soaking up sun! If you'd like more info ... (Read More)on Pugsley, email morgantown@celebratingpugs.com. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-06-00200Ray (male)

Pug    Age: Adult

Personality: Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Ray (Raven)! He is 6 years old and came into rescue with some serious skin issues that are already being addressed. He is feeling like a whole new pup in less than a week. Ray is your typical pug that loves to snuggle and loves snackies! He has some vision impairment but sees well enough to get around just fine and find any crumbs that hit the floor. He has adjusted really well in his foster home and doesn't mind his medicated baths and mousse regimen at all. He will need to be in foster care for a bit to get him healthy and back on the right track but will be ready for adoption before you know it! Don't mind his girlie sweaters, he ... (Read More)borrowed them from his foster sister! *** Update*** After being in foster care for several months and having his skin treated, Ray is finally ready to let everyone know what kind of forever home he needs. He would love a home with a fenced yard. He is almost completely blind and he is more comfortable with a yard he can learn his way around than to be leash walked for every potty break. Also, because of his bare neck, chest, and undercarriage, being in a collar or harness for every walk will irritate his skin. Ray would also do best in a home that has plenty of pet experience. He can be a little temperamental when he gets nervous so he needs someone that will be patient and encourage him to open up and make him feel secure. Lastly, he would love a home in or near Maryland where he is fostered because he gets really anxious for car rides and having a long trip after adoption would be tough of him. He would love a home that has plenty of snuggles to give because once he gets comfortable and settled in, he will be on your lap every second you're sitting down. He LOVES to eat and will do anything for a treat. Ray is completely house trained. He will need a medicated bath every couple of weeks for at least the next few months. His skin is doing way better but this helps it stay on the right track. If you think you are a great match for Ray, apply today! Rescue Me ID: 15-11-12-00226Britni (female)

Pug    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Blind

Britni (10 years old) is no stranger to MAPR. Back in 2013 she was a foster and adopted by a great family. Back in June of this year Britni suddenly lost vision and everything changed. Her personality was not the same, she was very upset and her people said she was even showing signs of aggression. Not knowing what to do, if there was anything they could do, they made the difficult decision for her to return to MAPR. She was regularly at the vet over the last 5 months to try to make her feel better. Britni came to her foster home on Saturday and has been having a hard time adjusting. She is constantly running into walls tables and having a ... (Read More)hard time learning the lay of the land. Today was the first time she started to relax, show her wonderful personality and even found a good sunspot to rest. When her area coordinator stopped by to drop some supplies off she was ready for kisses, playing with toys and even tried to rip apart a baggie. Britni is a sassy girl! Britni had a dental yesterday and a few other tests were run to make sure nothing else was going on. If all goes well, Britni will be ready for a nice calm home where she can be her sassy self in a few weeks. She would love to be an only pup where she will be spoiled rotten and can have all the attention to herself! If you are interested in adopting please visit our website and fill out an application.     Meet Gussie. Gussie is a sweet 11 year old girl who has made herself right at home. She is very happy to be around another dog she's ok with the cat too. She accepts her foster brother sniffing and more than gives it back. She will chase my boy around. Her back legs do drag. She can't jump up in the couch but has no problems with steps if she takes her time. Because of her backend issues she is fecal incontinent and will need to be in diapers. Gussie loves nothing more then to snuggle up and take a nap with her people. She is a funny girl with lots of personality! If you are interested in applying for adoption please visit our website ...
