Rescue Me ID: 16-01-27-00543Peggy (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I have Freedom! Peggy was born about January 13, 2012 and weighs about 12 lbs. She is an adorable little girl that came out of a puppy mill, but baby making days are over and she's looking forward to living a lush life with humans that shower her with love and kindness. Peggy is a little shy at first, but is warming up quickly leading us to believe that she, at one time, was someone's pet. All to often humans find supposed 'good homes' for their pets and if the pets are not spayed or neutered they can easily end up in puppy mills to sit in a cage 24/7 and this tiny thing lived in a barn! Just imagine what goes through their minds as they ... (Read More)sit there, and sit there, and sit there, wondering where the human is that loved them. She has been wonderful with all of us and she is wonderful with the other dogs. She will need some house training and may have been at one time. We will be working on this, but there will likely be work on your part with the new changes. She's a sweetie with a nice medium energy level and we are truly really guessing at breed. We are saddened of what became of her life, but we are happy that she ended up here so we can find you! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-10-01-00088Izzy (female)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Izzy was born about September 1, 2012 and weighs about 30 lbs. She is a truly sweet little girl that adores all us humans. She has not been a noisy girl and she is just wonderful with all the other dogs. We do have a little history on Izzy. The story goes that she was shipped, from Missouri, into the Virginia/West Virginia area as a puppy. The state is loaded with puppy mills. She was owned by one of the wonderful woman in the area that is now very much involved with rescue and assisting us with every transport. It seems she's had some life changes and decided she needed to find Izzy a new home. The smaller dogs were much easier and ... (Read More)lived inside, but Izzy and her kennel mate lived in a climate controlled outbuilding with a fenced area. But, not to worry, Izzy is now living inside our home and doing really well! The sites, sounds, and smells (particularly the cooking smells) have all become normal for her now and she's using the dog door to potty like everyone else. She is really sweet and is loving being around humans, she's actually at my feet while I type this. Izzy is now looking for a family to love her. (Less)
