Rescue Me ID: 18-03-13-00498Jack (male)

Pug    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Obese

Jack is very loved, but I am having serious medical issues and if I can find the right family to re-home him-- even if it's just temporary, I will pay for his food and other costs always. I have had him since he was six weeks old and he is used to be very loved and spoiled. He LOVES children -- and would make a wonderful family pet -- especially for a lonely child. Jack is overweight. It is my hope to find Jack a home with a yard and plenty of room to run around -- exercise and lose weight. I am prepared to take my time to find the right family. It is my hope to find someone who will let me pet sit Jack in the future. Again, I love him ... (Read More)very much and I am worried that I may not be giving him the care he needs because of health issues. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-08-00049Dorie (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Whew! Long Flight! Dorie was born about June 2, 2016 and weighs about 21 lbs. Dorie lived through the hurricane and then sent to the mainland to find a new home. How frightened this poor, little, thing must have been, but he was one of the lucky ones that escaped death. He is adorable and good with kids, dogs and cats. He also adores his toys. House training is still in process. It is likely something new in his life since so many dogs down there wander and many are called 'Beach Dogs'. We are so thankful Dorie could join us in an area that has more cold and snow than we'd like, but at least we don't have any deadly, destructive, ... (Read More)forces of nature. A note from his northern foster mom: Dore was living in a foster home in Puerto Rico before being flown to Buffalo. He loves to be with other dogs or cats. He likes to explore in the backyard and smells everything. Loves to be in your lap, Sleeps in his kennel or dog bed all night. Loves to do his morning walks with the leash. Also likes to travel in the car. Likes to be petted, and very playful. He came with a note that he eats salmon dry dog food. He shakes like a leaf when he goes outside, not used to the cold yet, so he may need a sweater. He is not fully house trained, but will use pee pads. He will wear a male doggy diaper to help him with house training. He is a lot of fun and loves to play with all dog toys and play chase and fetch. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-08-00357Rascal (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Looking for unique? Rascal East was born around April 13, 2013 and weighs about 12 pounds. We are told his mother was a Pug and father was a Poodle and we have to believe it based on his adorable looks. Rascal is with us because his previous owners allowed him to run loose and the local dog control officer said they needed to remedy the issue. Rascal is wonderful with the other dogs and loves children of all ages. He rides nicely in the car and walks well on leash. He will need to have fenced yard as his curiosity gets the best of him when he is outside. At the end of the day he is ready to cuddle up with you and watch TV. Someone is ... (Read More)going to be head over heels in love and certainly be the topic of discussion among dog lovers in the neighborhood. FOSTER UPDATE: What a love!! Rascal talks to me all the time telling me all about his day. He is housebroken and shows no interest in our cat. He ocassionally plays with the other dogs, but he is happiest being near (or on!) his humans. He was wonderful with my toddler grandchildren. One looks at that face and your heart melts!! (Less)

Animal ID: 1984Sonny (male)

Pug    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Sonny is 12 years old. He is a good dog who likes to be pet. He does not like to be pulled against his will or have his ears or tail pulled. Because of this I would not leave him around small children. He had a bad allergy that has left his skin under his neck a little rough. We seem to have it under control now. He is taking Apoquel which seems to be helping. All of his vaccines are up-to-date. We are currently treating him for a yeast infection. The reason we are giving Sonny up for adaptation is because my wife recently had a kidney transplant and was told that she shouldn't be around animals. If you have any questions feel free to ...     My name is ROO and seriously, have you ever seen such a face?! I'm a super unique adorabull pug-pitbull mix - that makes me a a Pugbull? I am 2 years old and I love to play with other dogs although I am selective - we will need a meet & greet. I much prefer females dogs over males so a sister would be the best match for me! I can get nervous in new situations which is why I need a quieter home with older kids 15+ and an experienced dog family who understands me. I have been through a lot in my short life. I am medium sized and just 40 lbs. I love to cuddle and sit on your lap. I am working on my training and seriously, I am VERY smart. I am ... (Read More)neutered, crate-trained. Despite initially testing negative for heartworm, turns out I have it. :( I have just begun my treatment. Contact for more info. (Less)
