Rescue Me ID: 15-07-16-00912Sophie (female)

Pug    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I am Sophie, a very energetic 5 y/o pug who likes to play fetch, tug, and be chased around the yard. I get along with kids of all ages and dogs too. I'm a bit of a wild thing on walks; I've got places to go, people! I am a good watchpug and will let you know when people are at the door or a doorbell rings on TV or someone walks by the house, but will shush if asked, and won't bark for long anyway. Just doing my job as a dog. While I am housebroken, I am in foster because I marked at my past home. The problem has since resolved itself almost entirely in my foster home. While we will never know what happened at my permanent home, I did ... (Read More)want to let folks know that when in the presence of a male dog who marks, it will often inspire peepee-artistry in other dogs, even sweet little girls such as myself, who then have to be broken of this icky habit. I am healthy, housebroken, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative, and ready for a new forever home. My adoption fee is $275 and I'm being fostered in Wisconsin. (Less)

Hi, I am Mikey, a 7 yr. old apricot pug who came by way of a Kentucky puppy mill. I am very affectionate and sleep in my foster home family member's bed. Rescue Me ID: 15-02-22-00446Toby (male)

Pug Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

My name is Toby and I am SO happy that I was rescued from a really crowded shelter in North Carolina. I was a stray and I don't know why my owner never came to claim me because I've just the best dog--and I'm cute too! (My foster mom loves my ears-one up and one down-and they make her laugh. She says I'm the perfect dog for people who can't decide what 'style' of ears they like best.) By the way, please don't let my serious, frowny face mislead you. I'm extroverted and charming and I make friends wherever I go. If I do say so myself, I'm the perfect size (about 35 lbs.), the perfect age (a little less than a year of age) and I have the ... (Read More)perfect pedigree (a unique 'designer dog' mix of Boxer, Pug, Terrier, and a few other breeds too). I'm very smart and my foster mom thinks I'd make a good agility dog because I'm very athletic--and you should see me jump! I love people and other dogs, and I adore playing with my bouncy ball. I'm housebroken and although I'm well behaved, I have lots of energy so I'd like a home that has a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing). I'd love to have a doggie playmate and I would prefer not to be a latchkey dog. (An adopter who works at home, is retired, or works part time would be a good fit for me.) I'm neutered, immunized, heartworm tested (negative) and I'm even microchipped. My adoption fee is $275--but, in reality, I'm priceless. (Hey, I'm modest too!) Seriously, I want soooo badly to have my own home, my own family, and my own special person. I'm ready to go home with the perfect adopter, so if you think you would be a good fit for me, please write to my foster mom at: rehome@onestarfish.net and tell her about yourself-your daily schedule, if you have a fenced yard, if you have other pets, etc. After that, if she feels I'd be a good fit for you, she will e-mail you an adoption application to fill out and then we can schedule a meet-and-greet. Please note: We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page before contacting us by e-mail. (Less)
